The top two sides go head-to-head in the first Der Klassiker of the season on Saturday, as Bayern Munich host Borussia Dortmund in a mouthwatering matchup at the Allianz Arena.
While both sides have accumulated 17 points from their opening seven Bundesliga games, they have reached those tallies in completely different ways. Munich's star-studded attack has scored a whopping 25 goals so far, nine more than any other side in the division. Meanwhile, Dortmund have scored less than half as many goals, but their experienced defense has conceded just four times.

Bayern Munich's hard-fought 1-3 win at Freiburg last weekend means they have picked up five wins and two draws from their opening seven Bundesliga games. Michael Olise is currently the top scorer for Munich, with six goals in seven games, whilst the likes of Joshua Kimmich, Luis Diaz and newly crowned Ballon d'Or winner Harry Kane are also enjoying excellent campaigns.
Dortmund excelling in defence
Thanks to last week's 1-0 victory at home to Frankfurt, Dortmund now have four clean sheets from their last five Bundesliga games. Goalkeeper Gregor Kobel is in fantastic form, whilst Nico Schlotterbeck and Waldemar Anton are playing exceptionally well in front of him. At the other end of the field, Dortmund have not quite been at their best, but the midweek 3-2 cup win over Bremen suggested that star striker Serhou Guirassy may be coming into form after a slow start to the season.

Luis Diaz is the big injury absence for Bayern. The former Liverpool attacker is out until late November with a hamstring issue. Jamal Musiala remains on the sidelines with a muscle tear, but midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović is definitely available for selection following a minor calf issue.

Greek starlet Konstantinos Karetsas returned to training this week following a ligament injury that has kept him out for three weeks. Ramy Bensebaini has also recovered from a minor knock, which means that Emre Can and Giannis Konstantelias will be Dortmund's only injury absentees.

This should be an absolutely fantastic contest, but it is hard to see it finishing in anything other than a Bayern victory.
The goals have been flying in for the champions so far this season, especially at the Allianz Arena, so despite Dortmund's superb defensive record, we think Bayern will have too much attacking quality for their opponents.
There have been at least four goals in each of Munich's last seven games. Given the incredible array of talent that will be on the on the field on Saturday, we cannot see that sequence coming to an end.
