The Chicago Sky (15-26) visit the Atlanta Dream (27-14) for a 2026 WNBA regular season matchup on Saturday, September 19, at Gateway Center Arena.
The Sky and the Dream have faced each other twice this season, with the latter emerging victorious in those two games. In their most recent match last July, the Dream escaped with a 93-91 win. Allisha Gray led the way for Atlanta with a game-high 29 points on an efficient 63.6% shooting.
The Dream also head into Saturday's match with better momentum. They've won six of their last seven games, including a crushing 103-59 victory over the hapless Connecticut Sun. Angel Reese had herself a night, hauling in a massive double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds.
Most importantly, Atlanta's elite defense was on full display against Connecticut. They held the Sun to only 35.4% from the field, including 15% from the three-point line. It's no wonder why the Dream currently have the second-best defensive rating in the league (105.2).
Meanwhile, the Sky have lost their last four games, including another painful 110-80 defeat at the hands of the Washington Mystics.
The Sky are already out of playoff contention. They don't have a lot to play for on Saturday, especially with most of their key players sidelined.
