The Atlanta Dream (2-0) visit the New York Liberty (0-2) for Game 3 of their 2026 WNBA Playoffs Second Round matchup on Friday, October 9, at Barclays Center.
After a double-digit victory in Game 1, the Dream had to fight through a tightly contested battle to take a 101-98 overtime win over the Liberty. The Dream only held a precarious one-point lead after three quarters, and then it was a back-and-forth affair in the final period.
The Liberty did a great job of getting back into the game after trailing by six points with under two minutes left in regulation. A Sabrina Ionescu three-pointer and a Breanna Stewart layup got them within just one point.
The Dream would knock down two free throws on the other end, but Marine Fauthoux sent the game to overtime with a three-pointer.
The two teams exchanged quick runs in overtime, but the Dream responded with the more crucial baskets. Angel Reese, who finished with 23 markers, scored six of the Dream's 13 points in overtime.
All five Dream starters scored in double digits, with Jordin Canada stuffing the stat sheet with 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Meanwhile, Stewart finished with a game-high 35 points for the Liberty, along with 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks.
