The Atlanta Dream (5-2) visit the Connecticut Sun (1-6) on June 6, Friday, at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
The Dream and Sun figure in their second matchup of the season. It was the Dream that came out on top in the first go-around, carving out a lopsided 79-55 victory.
The Dream didn't even have star center Brittney Griner in that commanding win. Allisha Gray and Nia Coffey led the charge for the team, topscoring with 18 markers apiece.
After a measly 1-2 start to the season, Atlanta has found their footing and has won four games in a row. They currently hold the third-highest offensive rating in the league (108.2), with Gray and Rhyne Howard producing consistently for them. Defense is still average for now, but the presence of Griner and Brionna Jones is a reason for optimism.
As for the Sun, it has been a lowly start to the year. Their only win came at the expense of the Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever. The stats are not friendly to them, either.
Currently, the Sun hold the worst offensive and defensive rating. That alone tells you the state of this team, and it will be a challenge for them to hold off the streaking Dream.
