The Winnipeg Jets will look to maintain their hot early-season form against the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday at United Center. They have crushed the Blackhawks in recent years and are a strong bet to pick up another positive result.
Since the start of 2023-24, Winnipeg has won 10 of 11 head-to-head matchups with Chicago. In January, the Blackhawks recorded a 2-0 shutout win in Winnipeg, but their defense has typically struggled against their Central Division rivals.
Prior to losing on home ice to Chicago early this year, the Jets had won eight consecutive games against them. They have since started another winning streak, producing a pair of overtime wins in March.
With Connor Bedard missing time, the Blackhawks have struggled early this season. They have a 2-5-0 record, allowing three-plus goals in all but one contest.
Bedard finally made his season debut Tuesday night against Pittsburgh, contributing an assist in a 5-3 victory. With him in the lineup, the Blackhawks are poised to improve their win percentage. But that seems unlikely on Thursday, with Winnipeg holding such a strong head-to-head record.
