Two true strikers will meet on Saturday night in the Light Heavyweight division when Volkn Oezdemir (20-8) faces off with Alonzo Menifield (17-5-1). Volkan is the decent sized favorite and is a few spots ahead of Menifield in the rankings.
Oezdemir has won 3 of his last 5 fights, but in his most recent fight, he lost a unanimous decision to Carlos Ulberg. That loss came almost a year ago. His career has been full of finishes. In 15 of his 20 wins, he has finished his opponent. In his 9 fights that did go to decision, he has gone 5-4, showing he does have the ability to win that way as well. However, it is obvious that when he is having his way, he finishes his opponent. His opponent, Menifield, also prefers to keep the judges out of it. 13 of his career 17 wins have come via finish, with 10 of his wins being by KO/TKO.
