One of the best fights outside the main card this Saturday could be between two experienced Flyweights. Alex Perez (25-9) will take on Asu Amabayev (22-3) in a fight that puts the #7 vs #8 ranked Flyweights on display.
Asu is coming off a unanimous decision win over Jose Ochoa where his ability to get takedowns and use ground control worked in his favor. He collected nearly 10 minutes of control time in the victory. This was a promising bounce back win after he was finished by Manel Kape just four months prior for his 1st loss in his last 18 fights. Now he faces Alex Perez who is going to be desperate for a win.
Perez has lost 4 of his last 5 fights. The beginning of this rough stretch came after he lost to Figgy back in 2020 when he got his lone title shot.
