One of Tuesday's most interesting matches at the Mutua Madrid Open, at least from a betting viewpoint, is the one between Vit Kopriva and Rafael Jodar. There is currently lots of hype surrounding the Spaniard, who is clearly one of the most exciting yong ATP players, and it's clear that he has the potential to be a top-10 player. Maybe he even has the ability to become a future star of the game. Either way, he's playing very well right now and is clearly confident, as was to be expected with this tournament taking place in his native Spain.

However, we've seen a string of matches catch up with the youngster a little in the last week or so. He's found a way to win, though he's had to battle rather than win with flamboyance, winning three of his last four in three sets. Against Vit Kopriva, who is a very capable clay-court player, Jodar may not be able to dominate quite as much as the early odds suggest. In fact, having seen Jodar need three sets against Fonseca and De Jong in the Spanish capital, the early market seems to be overestimating his chances, so much so that it's worth betting on the Czech player to avoid a straight-set defeat.
