In Morocco, at the ATP tournament in Marrakech, there's an interesting battle due to commence on Wednesday, a battle between Czechia and Serbia. Vit Kopriva and Hamad Medjedovic will lock horns in what is definitely an intriguing encounter. When the pair met on a clay court back in 2023, Medjedovic came out on top, but I wouldn't be too quick to assume that we'll see the same result here.
Interestingly, the Serbian comes into this tournament having won the same clay-court event in Naples that Kopriva won a year ago. Both players are more than capable on a clay surface, but I'm just not sure that early market has this right. Medjedovic is clearly being priced as the favorite on the strength of his recent tournament win, but Kopriva knows all about playing well during the European clay-court season, so much so that he looks a little generously priced here.

Our Vit Kopriva vs Hamad Medjedovic Prediction
Vit Kopriva really does look generously priced here. If anything, I'd make him the very narrow favorite, so odds of +130 are worth taking. Sure, Hamad Medjedovic is coming off the back of a tournament win, but we often see players of his quality struggle immediately after a tournament win, while he's never played in Marrakech before, which is not something that can be said for Kopriva, who did well at this event last year.
Kopriva is also typically at his best around this time on clay, so it's far from out of the question that he gets the job done here, and that's exactly what I'm betting on him to do.
