The Vegas Golden Knights aim to extend their point streak to nine games on Saturday against their Pacific Division rivals, the Calgary Flames, at Scotiabank Saddledome.
Bruce Cassidy’s team enters this weekend with a 6-0-2 run. The New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders are the only teams to defeat Vegas this month. Carter Hart has been a big addition to the Golden Knights' roster, and their offense can match anyone in the league.
Hart boasts a 3-0-2 record through his first five starts for Vegas, allowing 2.27 goals with a .917 save percentage. He produced a fantastic .970 save percentage on Wednesday night against the New Jersey Devils, but the Golden Knights clearly missed Jack Eichel in a 2-1 shootout loss. Eichel was forced to sit out his first game of the season due to illness.
On Saturday, Calgary’s chances would be greatly boosted by another Eichel absence. The star forward leads Vegas in scoring, notching 41 points (12 goals, 29 assists) in 31 games, and Eichel has finished four of his last five outings with multiple points.
The Flames have also found some form lately, going 5-1-1 across their last seven games. The team’s offense has significantly improved this month, and goaltender Dustin Wolf has returned to form, allowing more than two goals only twice in his last six starts.

They have built up some confidence in recent weeks and should be full of energy on home ice against the Pacific Division leader.
The two teams have already had two high-scoring meetings this season. On Oct. 14 at the Saddledome, Eichel led Vegas to a 4-2 comeback victory from a 2-0 deficit. A few days later, the Golden Knights hosted Calgary and secured a convincing 6-1 win, scoring three goals in the first period alone.
