The Phoenix Suns (1-4) host the Utah Jazz (2-2) in an NBA 2025-26 game on Friday, October 31, at the Mortgage Matchup Center.
The Suns look to snap a four-game skid at home after dropping an overtime thriller to these same Jazz earlier this week, 138-134. Then last Wednesday, they suffered another heartbreaking 114-113 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies via a last-gasp game-winner by Grizzlies guard Ja Morant.
In the loss to the Grizzlies, Devin Booker scored a game-high 32 points on 4-11 shooting from the three-point line. Starting big man Mark Williams contributed a double-double performance of 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, the Jazz are also coming off a close 136-134 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. The Jazz raced to a 43-point first quarter, but then gave up 46 points to the Blazers in the following period. They tried to come back in regulation, but eventually fell short.
After a brilliant 51-point game against the Suns, Jazz star Lauri Markkanen followed up with 32 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. Young guard Keyonte George added 29 points and 8 assists, while Walker Kassler hauled down 18 points and 12 rebounds.
The Suns will miss the services of Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks on Friday.
