Orlando has won the lone head-to-head matchup with Utah this season, escaping with a 128-127 overtime victory in December. Desmond Bane led the charge for the Magic in that win, finishing with 32 points on 61.9% shooting.
It also helps the Magic's cause that they recently snapped a two-game skid with a commanding 118-98 home win over the Brooklyn Nets.
Jalen Suggs, who is averaging 17.5 points, 4.8 assists, and 1.6 steals this season, led the Magic with a triple-double of 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Bane and Paolo Banchero added 23 and 22 markers, respectively.
However, the Magic will continue to miss the services of star Franz Wagner, who is still recovering from an ankle injury.
As for the Jazz, they're coming off a 121-119 loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Isaiah Collier, who again played the whole game, produced a team-high 25 points and 11 assists.
The loss to the Hawks is the Jazz's seventh loss in the last eight games. They're getting much-needed reinforcement though, with newly acquired star Jaren Jackson Jr potentially making his debut.
