In 2 of those 4 losses, they were even shutout. Their last game was a 5-1 loss to Colorado at home. After falling behind 2-0 after the 1st period, the lead ballooned to 4-0 after 2 periods of play. Lawson Crouse scored the lone goal for Utah in the loss and Karel Vejmelka allowed a season high 5 goals while in net. Tonight, they head to LA to take on a Kings team that has been playing solid hockey lately. After losing 3 of their 1st four games, the Kings have won 3 of their last four. In their most recent game, against the San Jose Sharks, the Kings took a commanding 3-0 lead after the 1st period. However, they saw that lead cut to just a single goal with 1 minute to play, but were able to hunker down to take the 3-2 win. This should be a tight contest as these teams are nearly identical in goals scored, goals allowed, shooting percentage and assists. On paper, there should not be much that separates these teams.
