One of Tuesday's more eye-catching matches at the WTA event in Hamburg, at least when viewing through a betting lens, is the one between Tamara Korpatsch and Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva, who comes into this match having struggled massively against player ranked below Tuesday's German opponent. It looked as if the Moldovan player, currently ranked as the world number 119, might make the second round in Iasi, Romania last week, but she failed to get anywhere near doing so, losing her first-round match 6-0, 6-1.

Off the back of that terrible effort in Iasi, Jimenez Kasintseva looks set to struggle against a player who is playing on home soil. Korpatsch has previously reached the quarter finals of this event, while she is the player who is more used to playing well in proper WTA events on clay. In other words, the higher-ranked player is worth betting on to get the job done without losing a set, as she did when winning her first-round match in Bastad last week.
