Two players who are closely matched according to the rankings will clash at the WTA event in Memphis on Monday. This is a return to hard-court action for both Talia Gibson and Tatjana Maria, who are meeting for the second time as pros. Gibson is the player with better recent hard-court form, but she hasn't played on any surface since last month, whereas her German opponent has been keeping busy, and she reaped the rewards for doing so in Newport last week. 

Based on what we saw from these two when the hard-court season was in full swing, it's hard to go against Talia Gibson. However, Tatjana Maria is now in a much better place with her overall game, and after winning that grass-court event in Newport, she should definitely be respected more by the early market. Anything bigger than +110 and we're getting value for money. After all, she came out on top when the pair last met on a hard court.
