The Seattle Storm (6-4) visit the Golden State Valkyries (4-5) on June 14, Saturday, at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
After a four-game losing streak last month, the Valkyries are looking like a different team since. They've won their last two games, including an impressive 95-68 victory over the Las Vegas Aces.
In their most recent match, the Valkyries defeated the Los Angeles Sparks, 89-81. Five players scored in double digits for Golden State, including 21 points from Janelle Salaun and 18 from Kayla Thornton. However, the Valkyries will be short-handed in their next match against the Storm.
Salaun, Julie Vanloo, and Cecilia Zandalasini will be temporarily leaving the team to participate in FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025. Those three key players average more than 20 minutes each per game, which would be a huge loss for the Valkyries.
