The Seattle Kraken look to be in a good position to shock the Florida Panthers on Saturday at Amerant Bank Arena. They hold a strong head-to-head record and have started the season in good form.
Heading to Sunrise, the Kraken are on a four-game point streak and boast a 5-2-1 record. Lane Lambert’s team is tied for the third-most points in the Western Conference.
Only three teams are averaging more goals than the Kraken, and they aren’t far off from having a top-10 defensive record. The last few seasons have been disappointing for Seattle, but early signs suggest they are ready to compete with anyone in 2026-27.
The Panthers are also in fine form, going 4-2-2. They can’t shake off the injury bug, but the team has enough quality to get through turbulent times largely unscathed. However, constant lineup changes can be disruptive, and Florida only recently took two bad beatings from Buffalo and Minnesota.
Florida beat Seattle 5-4 in a shootout when these teams last met, but they have yet to taste victory in back-to-back games in this matchup. Given the Kraken’s strong early-season form, the wait could go on much longer.
