There's more intriguing clay-court action coming our way from the WTA event in Charleston on Thursday, with one of the most eye-catching matches being the one between Sara Bejlek and Belinda Bencic. On the face of it, you'd expect that Bencic, as the world number 12, to win this, but she's barely played on the clay in the last three years, and let's be honest, she didn't appear to be anywhere near her brilliant best during the first round.

Belinda Bencic is a top player, and anybody who has checked out my previews focusing on her in the past will know that I have huge respect for the Swiss player, who can compete against anyone on her day. However, she's played very little clay-court tennis over the last few years, and she certainly didn't look at her best when playing in the first round of this tournament on Tuesday.
In contrast, Bejlek definitely enjoyed her first round match. If we also consider that Bencic has dropped sets against similar players in recent times, then the Czech competitor starts to look a little leniently priced to avoid a straight-set defeat. Don't be surprised if Bejlek's shortens in the betting ahead of this match, so my advice is to get in nice and early.
