The San Antonio Spurs visit the Dallas Mavericks in an NBA 2025-26 game on Wednesday, October 22, at the American Airlines Center.
The Cooper Flagg era in Dallas will start at home when they host the 7-foot-5 phenom Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs. Flagg, the top overall pick of this year's draft, will be flexing his two-way superstar potential in front of the Mavericks fans.
It's not just Flagg grabbing the spotlight in Dallas, though. Veteran stars Anthony Davis and Klay Thompson are raring to go, along with excellent role players like P.J. Washington and Dereck Lively II. Offseason addition D'Angelo Russell will also make his official Mavericks debut.
As for the Spurs, they're leaning on the continuous growth of Wembanyama, who averaged 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, and a league-best 3.8 blocks last season. Dylan Harper, the second overall pick of the 2025 NBA Draft, also looked promising during the preseason.
However, the Spurs will be missing the services of De'Aaron Fox and Jeremy Sochan on Wednesday. Fox is still recovering from a hamstring injury, while Sochan sprained his wrist just last week.
For the Mavericks, they'll be missing Kyrie Irving, who suffered a Torn ACL injury last season.
