With far less taking place in Major League Soccer due to internationals this weekend, one of very few stadiums to see domestic action will be CITYPARK, where St. Louis City and FC Dallas will clash in a game between two struggling teams. Sadly, the hosts have never really got going this season, so much so that an appearance in the postseason has never looked likely. We're now just a few weeks away from the end of the regular season and it's fair to say that the playoffs are beyond the reach of the St. Louis boys, who come into this game off the back of an upsetting three-game losing run.
For the visitors, the playoffs remain achievable, though now is not the time for Eric Quill's men to be dropping points. They're unbeaten in three, but they've only won one of those three, and they really do need to be picking up maximum points now, especially as they are currently five points behind the Earthquakes, who currently occupy that all-important ninth place. Fortunately, the Dallas boys have two games in hand. Win those are they're exactly where they want to be.
