Joao Fonseca and Roman Safiullin will clash at Wimbledon on Friday. The Russian is looking for redemption after struggling in recent times, and having come through the qualifiers, the man who reached the quarters of this tournament in 2023, he's proving some of his doubters wrong. However, now ranked at 132 in the world, Safiullin has had to use up lots of energy, winning his last three matches in five sets, so does he have enough left in the tank to take on a player who has won each of his matches easily?

If we're being really honest about this, the Brazilian should have far too much in the locker for his Russian opponent. Safiullin is not the player he once was, and even though he's battled really hard to make the third round, he isn't likely to be anywhere near as fresh as Fonseca, who has reached this stage without dropping a set. It's worth betting on the higher-ranked player to record another relatively straightforward win.
