Carballes Baena stunned recently-crowned Japan Open champion Arthur Fils 7-6(4) 7-6(5) in their hotly-contested match in the second round. Baena won 43 points of the total 87 points on his first points and collected 30 return points to complete the upset win over No.17 seed Fils.
