Real Madrid don’t have any respite as they host Girona in LaLiga, suffering a loss in the Champions League just three days prior. With many factors coming into play, betting on Azz-Eddine Ounahi to shoot on target is a good path to follow.
Los Blancos experienced a very heavy blow on home soil in the UCL quarter-finals, meaning they have now faced two 2-1 defeats in a row, the other against low-ranking Mallorca.
They will definitely be feeling the pressure to win this fixture if they’re holding onto championship dreams in the league, whilst they also have to atone for their tough UCL meeting in Germany just five days after too. It’s safe to say they’re in a bit of a sticky situation.
Fortunately for Girona, Madrid have struggled defensively when playing straight after a European game in the week, for example conceding two in the Madrid Derby at home, as well as conceding one at home by both Elche and Getafe straight after European commitments. The visitors have been creating good chances in the build up to this game, building good momentum, with one of their leaders being Ounahi.

Our Real Madrid vs Girona Prediction
Even when playing a couple of tough opponents recently, including Barcelona, Celta Vigo and Villarreal, Girona have done very well in creating chances. Their main man in recent games has been Ounahi, who has been producing lots of goal attempts, plus performing very well when they last encountered Real Madrid, grabbing a goal.
With the minds of Arbeloa’s squad swimming with both their upcoming UCL clash and battling with their need to keep their title hopes alive, their performance could be affected. With the hosts’ track record after midweek meetings, Girona, who aren’t in fact that far from 6th place, should definitely get a couple of chances in this game.
Our Real Madrid vs Girona Pick: Azz-Eddine Ounahi 1+ Shots on Target.
