Napoli, after a slow start, desperately needed a Champions League victory to boost morale, and they secured a hard-fought 4-3 win against Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt. Scottish striker McTominay finally found his form, scoring two crucial goals, his first of the season. The Neapolitan side now turns its attention to Serie A, where they will host Roma.

But the capital club, on the other hand, has had a solid start to the season. In October, they drew with an inspired performance against Real Madrid; in the Champions League, they were leading but let three corners slip away. They returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Genoa, and in the Champions League, they secured another three points with a 4-0 win against Slovan Bratislava.

Hermoso, Molina, Pisilli, and Malen (penalty) secured the continental victory for Roma. Now, if they keep a clean sheet on Saturday, they will equal their record set in 2017 of keeping four clean sheets in their first four away games.
