Now ranked all the way down at 417 in the world, Thanasi Kokkinakis, who was once a solid top-100 player, will begin his US Open journey on Tuesday, taking on young up-and-comer Rafael Jodar, who thanks to some excellent efforts in 2026, has rocketed to 13th in the ATP Rankings.
Rafa Jodar is hotly fancied by the early market to win this match with ease, and relatively speaking, he may well do that, but given the odds on offer, it's worth betting that, at the very least, it takes the Spaniard four sets to come out on top.
