Pachuca's strong start to the Apertura tournament, where they won their first three matches, and then had a very strong League Cup, where they qualified for the head-to-head stage, seems like a distant memory for Pachuca, after the terrible run they are still immersed in, in which they haven't won any of their last six matches and lost each of their last three Liga MX matches without scoring a goal.

Pachuca, based on their achievements in the first few matches, still holds eighth place, but their last defeat against Querétaro at the Miguel Hidalgo Stadium was highly concerning. In the betting world, it was an incredibly surprising result, as Querétaro won 0-2 on the road and forced betting sites to pay odds as high as +800.

Ultimately, Pachuca's match against Querétaro was poor; Ecuadorian forward Enner Valencia was nowhere to be seen on the field. Nor did Brazilian Kenedy have much influence on Pachuca's loss to Puebla or its previous three matches. Collectively, Pachuca seemed disorganized.

Matters worsened when audio recordings of Pachuca's president were released, harshly criticizing his team, saying things like the institution had been working hard for over 30 years just for "this," referring to the poor performance shown against Querétaro.

At least, Puebla, Pachuca's next opponent, hasn't won in any of its last seven matches.
