On Saturday, during the late afternoon for those viewing stateside, the biggest game of the European soccer calendar will take place. That's right, it's the final of the UEFA Champions League. This year, it's France vs Italy as PSG take on Inter in the German city of Munich, where Allianz Arena will host this huge occasion.
Having tried and failed on many occasions when building their team around superstars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, PSG finally look like a team capable of going all the way, and they've done it by becoming more of a unit. Under the the stewardship of Luis Enrique, we're looking at what is arguably the most complete PSG side ever to take to the field, but can this team of young up-and-comers make history and get the Parisian club over the line?
Standing in the way of Enrique's youngsters is a team of ultra experienced campaigners. While the Parisian team is largely made up of young, improving players, Inter's team is all about experience. Simone Inzaghi's men are older and perhaps wiser, but will that translate into success? Or will the exuberance of youth prove to be too much for the men from Milan to handle?

From a form point of view, the Parisians come into this game flying. They finished the Ligue 1 campaign as runaway champions, winning each of their final two fixtures in impressive style, scoring seven goals in the process. The league success was followed by victory in the Coupe de France, with PSG beating Reims by three goals to zero, meaning that an unprecedented treble is very much on the cards for Luis Enrique's men.
For the boys from the fashion capital of Europe, domestic success proved elusive. They were dumped out of the Coppa Italia by city rivals AC Milan at the semi-final stage, while they were narrowly pipped to the post by Napoli in the league, which means that the season all comes down to Saturday's game in Germany. Fortunately, the Inter boys warmed up with a solid win over Como in their final Serie A game, so Inzaghi's men will at least go into this huge fixture with the taste of victory fresh in their mouths.

Fortunately, Luis Enrique has pretty much a clean bill of health ahead of this UEFA Champions League final. The only inury concern is Presnel Kimpembe, who is expected to miss out with a leg injury. Otherwise, the Spaniard can take his pick from what is a strong squad. By scoring two goals and laying on an assist in the Coupe de France final, young forward Bradley Barcola staked a sizable claim for a starting place. Having been on the bench for that game, key winger Kvicha Kvaratskhelia is expected to return to the starting XI.

Unlike his opposite number, Simone Inzaghi does have a few injury worries to contend with. Benjamin Pavard is expected to remain sidelined, which is a clear blow, while Piotr Zielinski is out too, reducing the number of midfield options available to Inter's Italian manager. There are also doubts over high-energy defender Yann Bisseck, who provides some much-needed youth, so Inzaghi will certianly be hoping that he's fit enough for the bench.
