It's not just the offense, though. The Knicks defensive rating has also improved to 108.6 in their last three wins. Without Brunson to bail them out on offense, the Knicks definitely need to rely more on their defensive schemes.
As for the Blazers, they are on a current three-game skid. Their defense has been atrocious during that span, with their defensive rating dropping to 135.7.
More problems are coming the Blazers way, as their injuries are piling up. Two key frontcourt players Deandre Ayton and Robert Williams III are sitting out the Knicks game. On top of that, backup point guard Scoot Henderson will also miss the next game, having been placed in concussion protocol.
