The Phoenix Suns (1-1) visit the Denver Nuggets (0-1) in an NBA 2025-26 game on Saturday, October 25, at the Ball Arena.
The Nuggets return to their home turf after a disappointing 137-131 season opener loss to the Golden State Warriors. It was a thrilling game that saw Aaron Gordon hit 10 of his 11 three-point attempts on his way to a career-high 50 points. But it wasn't enough, as Steph Curry and the Warriors just had more ammunition in overtime.
Jamal Murray contributed a double-double line of 25 points and 10 assists, while Nikola Jokic had himself a triple-double performance of 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.
As for the Suns, they split their first two games of the season. After a four-point win against the Sacramento Kings, they were soundly defeated by the Los Angeles Clippers, 129-109, on Friday.
The Suns' defense was nowhere to be seen on Friday, as they allowed the Clippers to shoot 59.2% from the field. It also didn't help that they committed 18 turnovers.
Dillon Brooks topscored for the Suns with 21 points on 5-10 shooting from the three-point line. Suns All-Star guard Devin Booker only finished with 18 points in the loss.
