The Minnesota Lynx set their sight on claiming their sixth straight win as they prepare for an all-out battle with the Phoenix Mercury on Saturday at 8:00 p.m US EST. The Lynx owns the best record in the Western Conference at 12-3, three games ahead of the Seattle (9-6) and defending champions Las Vegas Aces (8-6). Minnesota is averaging 85.3 points on 43 FG% while boasting the second-best defense in the league at 74.7 points allowed per game. The Mercury have been erratic this season but they have recently built some momentum as of late, winning four of their last five games. They have just pulled off a 99-93 win over Eastern Conference powerhouse New York Liberty, boosting their morale even more as they brace for a battery of tough foes in the coming weeks. The Lynx and Mercury split the first two games. Minnesota took the first game 95-71 while Phoenix got back at them in their second encounter 81-80 last June 7.
