The Washington Wizards (1-2) host the Philadelphia 76ers (3-0) in an NBA 2025-26 game on Tuesday, October 28, at Capital One Arena.
The Sixers stake their perfect start when they visit Washington on Wednesday. They just handled the Orlando Magic 136-124 behind a blistering 43 points from Tyrese Maxey, who has opened the season on a tear. So far, Maxey is averaging 37.0 points and 7.7 assists on 46.1% shooting this season.
In the win against the Magic, the Sixers also received 26 points and 7 assists from prized rookie VJ Edgecombe. Veteran wing Kelly Oubre Jr contributed a double-double performance of 25 points and 10 assists.
However, injuries remain the big subplot for Philadelphia. Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Jared McCain are all listed out, along with Trendon Watford and Dominick Barlow.
Meanwhile, the Wizards were blitzed in the second half of their home opener, falling 139-113 to the Charlotte Hornets after leading by 11 at halftime. They gave up a staggering 88 points to the Hornets in the second half.

The Wizards will miss the services of Bilal Coulibaly on Tuesday, as he is nursing a thumb injury.
