The Brooklyn Nets (0-5) host the Philadelphia 76ers (4-1) in an NBA 2025-26 game on Sunday, November 2, at the Barclays Center.
The Nets look to stop a five-game skid at home when they welcome the Sixers on Monday. Recently, they lost to the Atlanta Hawks, 117-112. They managed to keep it close in the fourth quarter, but Jalen Johnson and the Hawks were just too much to handle towards the end.
Despite the loss, Michael Porter Jr showed out for the Nets. He exploded for 32 markers built on a 4-9 clip from the three-point line. Starters Cam Thomas and Nic Claxton contributed 19 and 18 points, respectively.
As for the Sixers, they're also coming off a heartbreaking 109-108 loss to conference rivals Boston Celtics. Philly trailed by double digits early, but they came back in the second half to make things interesting. However, a difficult game-winner attempt from Joel Embiid fell short in the end.
Tyrese Maxey led the charge for the Sixers by stuffing the stat sheet with 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 14 assists. Joel Embiid put up 20 points in limited minutes on the floor.
Speaking of Embiid, he will sit out Sunday's game against the Nets for load management purposes.
