Paula Badosa eyes a dominant win over the unheralded Sinja Kraus in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Austin 125 Open.
Current Form:
Former world’s No.2 Paula Badosa made it to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Austin 125 after beating Lulu Sun 6-1, 7-6. Now 106th in the world, Badosa has beaten two decent-level players in Elena-Gabriel Ruse 2-6, 6-2, 7-5 and Sun, the former Wimbledon Open quarterfinalist. The Spaniard is trying to bounce back from a two-set loss to Yulia Putintseva in the first round of the 2026 Indian Wells, 4-6, 2-6.
Sinja Kraus clinched a spot in the last eight with a 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 win over Oksana Selekhmeteva. The 23-year-old Kraus split her first six matches on the WTA Tour this year at 3-3, winning 70 percent of her first serves but converting only 38.1 percent of breakpoints.

Our Paula Badosa vs Sinja Kraus Prediction
Fearless Forecast: Paula Badosa sweeps Sinja Kraus 6-3, 6-4
Badosa has no business losing this match. She might not be playing at a high level right now because of her persistent back injury, but the Spaniard is still a few levels higher than Kraus right now. She proved just that with her convincing wins over Lulu Sun, who isn’t a pushover. Kraus deserves her laurels for making this far, but I don’t think she can take down Badosa, who seems to have found a bit of momentum in this small tourney in Austin.
