At the end of the day, this is a very intriguing match, and it really won't be a huge surprise if it goes either way. Neither of these two are real top players, but both are in good form and are capable of big wins on their day. However, Vekic is the better player overall and on grass for my money, so she deserves more respect than the early market suggests. We've seen Badosa play some good stuff at Wimbledon so far, but she has a recent history of coming up short once things start to get serious, as they do here. Moreover, her recent performances against Schnaider was less impressive than Vekic's performance against the same opponent. That form is an indicator that shouldn't be ignored. While Badosa was soundly beaten by Schnaider in Germany a few weeks ago, Vekic pushed a little harder, winning a set in the process, so I think she has a better chance of defeating the Spaniard than the early lines indicate.
