The Miami Heat (25-22) visit the Orlando Magic (22-23) in an NBA 2025-26 game on Wednesday, January 28, at the Kia Center.
This is the third time that the Heat and Magic will face each other this season. The Magic have won the first two games by an average margin of only 2.5 points. This has been a close matchup between the two teams from Florida.
However, the Magic have been on a downward spiral, having lost their last four games, including a recent 114-98 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Magic actually raced to a 10-point lead after the first quarter, but their defense collapsed the rest of the way.
Paolo Banchero put up 37 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. Only two other Magic players scored in double digits, namely Desmond Bane's 19 and Anthony Black's 14.
To add to their woes, the Magic will be without injured star Franz Wagner on Wednesday.
As for the Heat, they're coming off a 111-102 victory over the Phoenix Suns, their third win in the last four games. Seven Heat players scored in double digits, with Bam Adebayo and Jaime Jaquez Jr leading the way with 22 and 20 markers, respectively.
