After dodging a bullet in the first round, Carlos Alcaraz of Spain prepares for another tricky opponent in world’s No.733 Oliver Tarvet of Great Britain in the second round of the 2025 Wimbledon Open.
Alcaraz extended his winning streak to 19 matches but not before weathering a serious upset bid from veteran Fabio Foginini of Italy 7-5 6-7(5) 7-5 2-6 6-1 on Monday. Despite being ranked way outside the ATP top-100, his position in the ranking has not deterred Tarvet from chasing his dream and making an impressive stint at Wimbledon.
