The Portuguese player, who has absolutely proved his quality on clay over the last month or so is the early favourite for this one, but as volatile and inconsistent as he is, we really shouldn't understimate Bublik, who has played soem explosive clay-court tennis in the last couple of weeks. Alexander Bublik is one of the most divisive players on the ATP tour, there's no doubt about that. His talent is undeniable, while his combinationg of sheer style and showmanship is entertaining. Sure, he doesn't win as many matches as he should, but he's a player in solid form right now and when he's hot, he's very hard to beat. Not too many players outside of the top ten can push Medvedev the way Bublik did in Madrid just under a fortnight ago, while he showed his quality when beating world numebr 14 Ben Shelton before that. If we factor in that he's fresh with this being his first match in Rome and couple it with the fact that Borges played a really gruelling, hard-fought three-set match yesterday, it's easy to feel that the Kazakh player, whos is ranked 36 places above his opponent here, is a little underappreciated in the early betting. Therefore, a bet on him to come out on top at odds of +135, offers us some nice value. Our Prediction: Alexander Bublik to Win.
