Novak Dkojovic will open his French Open title defense against Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert on Court Philippe Chatrier at Roland Garros in Paris, France. Djokovic enters the men’s singles tournament at Roland Garros hoping to capture his fourth career French Open title and third of the last four years. Herbert aims to finally break into the fourth round and beyond in Grand Slam tourneys. Novak has yet to win a title in 2024, reaching as far as the semifinals round at the Australian Open, Monte Carlo Masters and Geneva Open. Herbert hasn’t found much success since playing in the finals of the Naples Challenger in March. The Frenchman booked a spot in the main draw of Bordeaux Challenger but failed in his bid at Mutua Madrid Open and Open Parc.

Our Novak Djokovic vs Pierre-Hugues Herbert Prediction
Prediction: Djokovic is an overwhelming favorite over Herbert in their French Open first-round clash with BetMGM listing the current world’s no.1 at 10,000. Djokovic would have to have a meltdown of a century to drop his first assignment at Roland Garros as he always cleared his opening match since his debut in 2005. Djokovic won 92.59% of matches (25-2) at Grand Slam tournaments while Herbert barely won his matches with a 61.2 percent win percentage in the ITF Challengers tournaments. Although the Frenchman presented a bit of a challenge to Djokovic in their first and only meeting in 2013 (7-6, 6-3), it’s safe to say that the Serb will post a dominant straight-set win in this matchup. Our betting prediction for Djokovic vs. Herbert: Djokovic wins in straight sets 3-0 at BetMGM.
