New York Liberty vs Golden State Valkyries Prediction & Picks - WNBA

The New York Liberty (24-16) visit the Golden State Valkyries (21-18) on Tuesday, September 2, at the Chase Center. 

This is the fourth time that the Liberty and Valkyries will face each other this season. The Liberty won the first three games with an average margin of 12 points.

However, the Liberty is coming off an 80-63 loss to the Phoenix Mercury. The Liberty actually had a two-point lead at halftime, but their offense faltered in the final two quarters. They only scored 24 points in that span, allowing the Mercury to snatch the lead.

Emma Meesseman scored 17 points to lead the Liberty. Breanna Stewart added 14, while Natasha Cloud tallied 13. Sabrina Ionescu missed the game, as she is still nursing a toe injury. She's still listed day-to-day, so it remains to be seen if Ionescu will play on Tuesday.

On the other end, the Valkyries are riding a three-game winning streak. Most recently, they defeated the Indiana Fever, 75-63. They held an 11-point lead after the opening period and never looked back. 

Iliana Rupert spearheaded the Valkyries' efforts, finishing with a game-high 21 markers on an efficient 8-12 shooting. Janelle Salaun and Kate Martin are the other double-digit scorers with 10 points apiece.
