Fiserv Forum will be the setting for a tightly-contested Friday night battle between the New York Knicks and the Milwaukee Bucks. Both teams are in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff race, but injuries on both sides could be the deciding factor in this matchup.
Milwaukee has been strong at home this season, winning 23 of their first 35 games in their own building. Despite a recent 127-117 loss to the Denver Nuggets, in which they struggled to contain Nikola Jokic, the Bucks remain competitive in the standings. They currently trail the Pistons by just half a game for fifth place in the East and rank 11th in defensive efficiency, allowing just over 112 points per game.
The big question for Milwaukee heading into Friday’s game is the status of Giannis Antetokounmpo. Already missing star guard Damian Lillard, the Bucks could be without their MVP-caliber forward as well, which would leave them vulnerable. If Giannis doesn’t suit up, Milwaukee will need to rely heavily on Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez to carry the offensive load.

The Knicks are looking to bounce back after a tough home loss to the red-hot Clippers. Despite the 126-113 setback, New York has split their last 10 games and remains in third place in the East, three games ahead of Indiana. The Knicks have been battling injuries of their own, most notably missing point guard Jalen Brunson, who hasn’t played since early March due to an ankle issue. With both Cameron Payne and Miles McBride listed as questionable, New York’s backcourt depth could be tested again.
This game has the feel of a coin flip, especially with so many key players listed as questionable or out. If Antetokounmpo is sidelined, the Bucks’ ability to generate offense could take a serious hit.
