The New Jersey Devils are currently the top team in the Eastern Conference Metropolitan Division. They are one of the most disciplined teams in the league, which is why they are 4th in penalty minutes. Combine that with their 25.6% power play percentage, and you have a recipe for that great 11-4-0 mark. After finishing up the month of October with two losses, they bounced back in November. They have won 3 of their 4 games and posted 10 goals in those 3 wins. They will play host to the neighboring New York Islanders (7-6-2) on Monday evening. The Islanders have been up and down through this early portion of the season. They are near the top 10 in the league in goals scored (50), but are near the bottom half of the league in goals allowed (49). The start to November has been a microcosm of those stats. They are 2-2 through 4 games and have scored 13 goals but given up 11. They are coming off an impressive 5-0 win over the rival Rangers on Saturday.
