The Dallas Mavericks (2-5) host the New Orleans Pelicans (1-6) in an NBA 2025-26 game on Wednesday, November 5, at the American Airlines Center.
The Mavericks look to steady the ship after a 110-102 road loss to the Houston Rockets. P.J. Washington put in his best efforts with a double-double performance of 29 points and 12 rebounds, but the Mavs' other stars struggled mightily.

As for the Pelicans, they finally snapped their skid with a gritty 116-112 win over the Charlotte Hornets. They managed to come back in the fourth quarter behind a brilliant performance from rookie Derik Queen, then capped by Jose Alvarado’s go-ahead three in the final seconds.
Queen came off the bench to finish with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals. Alvarado put up 18 markers, while Trey Murphy III topscored with 21.
The Pels will again rely on their bench unit to replace the production of injured key players Zion Williamson, Dejounte Murray, and Yves Missi.
