We're into the second week of action at Flushing Meadows, where the Women's US Open treats us to some exciting matches on Monday afternoon. Few showdowns look more enticing than the one containing Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff. This is a match between two former US Open champions, with Osaka claiming the the crown in both 2018 and 2020, before Gauff became the champion in 2023. One of these two players will move one step closer to regaining their title, but which one will it be? 

We've seen some strong hard-court tennis from both players over the last week or so, with both showing why they've won this prestigious prize before. As well as showing her raw ability, Osaka, for the first time in a while, showed no shortage of grit and winning mentality to dig deep against Daria Kasatkina last time out, winning in three sets. We've also seen Gauff show her fighting qualities as well as her natural brilliance, with the world number three surviving a set-back to defeat Ajla Tomljanovic in three sets during the first round. This is a tough match to call, make no mistake about that, so strap in and enjoy the ride.
