The red-hot Minnesota Wild will look to extend their winning streak to five games against their Central Division rivals, the Winnipeg Jets, at Canada Life Centre on Sunday.
After a bumpy start to the campaign, the Wild have received world-class goaltending from Filip Gustavsson and Jesper Wallstedt, catapulting the team to four consecutive wins. Across the last seven games, Minnesota has posted a 6-0-1 record with three shutouts.
Minnesota's offense has also been buzzing lately, with Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy leading the way. The two have scored a combined 51 points, and Boldy will head into Sunday's contest with a six-game point streak.
The Jets have been inconsistent lately, winning only three of their eight outings this month. Even tougher times could be ahead after goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, the 2025 NHL MVP, was ruled out for 4-6 weeks following knee surgery.
Eric Comrie has posted a solid 4-2-0 record this season, but he has never been a consistent starter, and staying in the net for a long stretch will be new for him. The Jets skaters, led by captain Adam Lowry, need to support Comrie in every way possible to help maintain his confidence.
