There's clay-court action in Iasi, Romania on Tuesday, when clay-court specialist Maiar Sherif will take on Dalma Galfi, and not for the first time in 2026. These two players met at the French Open back in May, when Sherif won in straight sets, securing her third career clay-court success over Galfi, who is now comfortably ranked below Tuesday's opponent. While the Hungarian player comes into this tournament having played just one clay-court match after wrapping things up on grass, Sherif has played lots of clay-court matches of late, winning a Challenger event as recently as last week. 

The early clearly tell us that Maiar Sherif is strongly fancied to get this job done, and it's hard to argue with that. In fact, the hugely in-form Egyptian could easily be an even strong favorite than odds of -189 suggest, so betting on her to emerge victorious does indeed offer us an all-important slice of the value cake.
