Landaluce is eyeing his first win in this tournament after dropping his first two matches. The Spaniard bowed to Budkov Kjaer 1–4, 4–3(9–7), 2–4, 3–4(4–7) on Day 1 and succumbed to Tien 4–1, 1–4, 3–4(4–7), 3–7(2–7) on Day 2. Landaluce still has a shot to advance into the next round, but he will need a huge win over Jodar to sneak into the next round.
