Former world’s No.1 Iga Swiatek kicks off a fresh campaign at the 2025 Wuhan Open, facing Marie Bouzkova in the second round on Tuesday.

Swiatek is the heavy favorite here at -900, but she can really give bettors as high as $300 profit for every $100 bet if she scores a 9-game blowout against her Czech foe.

Swiatek looks to bounce back from a fourth-round exit at the China Open. After winning the Korea Open championship with a gutsy comeback win over Ekaterina Alexandrova 1-6, 7-6, 6-5, it seemed that Swiatek was due for another deep run in Beijing. The pole picked up a dominant win over Yuan Yue 6-0, 6-3 in the second round and obliterated Maria Camila Osorio Serrano 6-0 ret in the third round. She seemed on her way to another win in her quarterfinal clash with Emma Navarro after forcing a deciding set. But for an unknown reason, Swiatek never won a single game again, allowing Navarro to come away with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 win.

Fresh off a round-of-16 appearance in Beijing, Bouzkova opened her campaign in Wuhan with a clinical win over Maria Camila Osorio Serrano 6-3, 6-4. Bouzkova dominated Serrano by winning 24 points off the first serves and capturing a whopping seven breakpoint conversions. Bouzkova improved to 19-9 on the hard court and 30-18 overall in 2025.
