On Tuesday, there's more action coming our way from the ATP event in Santiago, Chile, where Mariano Navone will be hoping to improve on some rather poor recent results. The Argentine lost in first round of the Rio Open last week, while the best he could manage was a the second round in Argentina the week before. Off the back of those efforts, he may not be feeling too confident ahead of a match against Vit Kopriva, who has been playing some fine clay-court tennis of late.
While Navone floundered in Brazil, Kopriva thrived, beating the likes of Juan Manuel Cerundolo in straight sets, winning three matches and reaching the semis. Such a performance should not be ignored, and we really should not be surprised if Kopriva got the job done here. I certainly won't be.

Our Mariano Navone vs Vit Kopriva Prediction
Is Vit Kopriva a good bet to get the job done at odds of +140? Absolutely he is. The Czech player is clearly enjoying the early weeks of the South American clay-court swing, and let's face it, he's the player who turns up in better form, and I really do think that the early market is underestimating that. Navone looked out of sorts when losing in straight sets to Ugo Carabelli in Buenos Aires, while he didn't exactly fare any better when exiting the Rio Open at the first-round stage last week.
In contrast, Kopriva made the semi-finals in Rio, and he didn't go down without a fight, pushing world number 33 Tomas Martin Etcheverry to a third set. Such an effort tells me that he's well placed to do better here than the early odds suggest.
