The No. 19 Kentucky Wildcats (19-10, 8-8) will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard tonight when they host the LSU Tigers (14-15, 3-13). Tipoff for this SEC matchup is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY.
Kentucky got the season off to a solid start, going 11-2 in non-conference play. But the SEC is stacked with quality teams this season; they’ve struggled to build any momentum, never winning more than two in a row. With the loss to Auburn on Saturday, their conference record improved to .500 with two games to go. The Wildcats didn’t stand a chance, falling behind 49-34 at the half and losing 94-78. However, they will not be facing an offense anywhere near as prolific or a defense as tough against LSU. The Tigers got off to an 11-2 start in non-conference play, just like the Wildcats. However, the similarities end there, as LSU has struggled throughout the conference schedule, going 3-13. There was a glimmer of hope when they won two in a row (vs. Oklahoma and South Carolina), but then they dropped their last three vs. No. 2 Florida, No. 5 Tennessee, and No. 24 Mississippi State.

Our Kentucky Wildcats vs LSU Tigers Prediction
There shouldn’t be much doubt as to who will win this game. It would be shocking to see LSU pull out a win against the Wildcats. However, with the injury issues the Wildcats are dealing with, it is hard to say whether they’ll be as dominant as they’ll need to be to cover a 13.5-point spread. They might, but I can’t say that with much confidence. However, neither offense has been putting up a ton of points lately, and that total is pretty high.
