Liverpool will be looking to build on their impressive midweek win at Inter Milan when they host Brighton at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
That victory in Italy came courtesy of a controversial late penalty, converted by Dominik Szoboszlai, but the Reds' overall performance was arguably their best of the season and will have given Arne Slot's men a big confidence boost after a traumatic few weeks.
Of course, the big issue still to be resolved on Merseyside concerns the future of striker Mo Salah. The out-of-favour Egyptian legend is off to the African Cup of Nations next week, so Saturday's game could well be his last ever appearance in a Liverpool shirt.
Brighton have slipped to eighth in the Premier League table after picking up just one point from their last two games. However, it has still been an encouraging first half of the campaign for the Seagulls, and they remain firmly in the mix for a European qualification spot.

Our Liverpool vs Brighton Prediction
Despite their victory in Milan, we are not 100% convinced that Liverpool are back to their best. Their last two Premier League displays have been very poor, and Arne Slot still has a huge job on his hands if he wants to reignite the Reds' dwindling title hopes.
Brighton have also been poor in their last two games, but their possession-based style of play is likely to cause problems for a Reds team that has struggled when placed under pressure this season. As such, we think the Seagulls will claim a point from their trip to Anfield.
Our prediction for Liverpool vs Brighton and Hove Albion is: Draw.
